Now let me premise all I am going to say tonight is that I’m going to be honest…this week and especially next week…if you desire not to hear what I am going to talk about you’re more then welcome to skip out.

Why don’t those dumb bugs get a clue…oh…he got zapped…I need to avoid the “blue” light…

Tonight I want to talk about how we many times have bug eyes…What is the blue light that were drawn too…lust…porn…internet junk…sexual relationships…and everything else that you typically don’t hear a church just open up and talk about.

When I say pornography what do you think about…wait…wait…your not supposed to ask that…we’ll let me ask it another way…what is it…?

3 : the depiction of acts in a sensational manner so as to arouse a quick intense emotional reaction

So how do you put it to death…How do you mobilze and take action against the dark areas within your life? …God is the only one who can take care of lust

Test drives, crash-test results, and consumer reports—when it comes to buying a car, countless aids are available to us. Tonight I want to open up God’s owner’s manual to see what to look for when it comes to an even more important decision—selecting a mate.

Are they whole?

Relational mathematics – ½ + ½ doesn’t make 1 whole. 1 + 1 = 1 whole

A lot of times…we say…I want someone to “complete” me…Why would something that has a clue want to be with someone who doesn’t.

Complete people are only attracted to “complete” people.

Never date potential…

Do they bring you good and not evil?

Prov. 31:12 She does him good and not evil all the days of her life.

What character traits to they pull out of you?

Do they challenge you in your relationship with Christ?

Do they fit your list?

Making a list of what qualities have to be in your future mate.

Without a vision (an idea where you are to go…) the people parish.

Without a vision of what your future potential mate is to look like…you will be in trouble. You will throw off all restraint and take anything.

Pr 29:18 -

Without a prophetic vision, the people throw off all restraint; but he who keeps Torah is happy.

God gave us his word so that we would make the right decisions…

Clearly define character qualities of a future mate before you date.

Personal insecurities

How do you become a champion Rocky Christian and overcome these thoughts instead of letting them pound you into the ground…

We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ,

Choose to take negative thoughts captive…don’t allow them to hang around in your mind

5. To become a champion “Rocky” Christian…remember that when you get rid of the weeds…plant the flowers.

God wants to do some very big things in your life this next year.

There are already some big plans for what is going to be happening this next year at Oneighty…this year is going to be marked by things that are incredible…that’s going to be really amazing.

But to see God do something huge in your life…you have to stop making out in the backseat of life and experience the Lord in a real way in 2005
